Our Policies

1. Waiver of Liability:
I understand that by joining this wine/brew-fueled adventure in a charming (and occasionally sassy) 1966 Volkswagen Kombi, I’m doing so voluntarily and at my own risk. I hereby release Skies The Limit Events and Tours Inc., its lovely owners, superstar employees, kombi-whispering drivers, and any affiliated legends from any and all claims of injury, loss, damage, or general mishaps.  Whether caused by bumpy roads, weather mood swings, wine-related wobbliness, or the Kombi’s unique personality.

Basically, I’m here for the good times and take full responsibility for my experience.

2. Assumption of Risk:
I understand that riding in a vintage 1966 Volkswagen Kombi and participating in wine tastings comes with a few fun and funky risks, including (but not limited to) occasional mechanical quirks, lack of modern safety features, exposure to changing road and weather conditions, and the effects of alcohol.

I acknowledge that alcohol is not permitted to be consumed inside the Kombi at any time, and I agree to follow all local laws and venue rules including refraining from drinking in any area where alcohol is not legally permitted.

Basically, I’m here for a good time and a respectful one.

3. Alcohol Consumption & Age Verification:
Participants must be 19 years of age or older (per BC liquor laws) to partake in the wine/beer tastings. Government-issued ID may be requested to verify age, so don’t forget your ID at home!

I agree to drink responsibly and acknowledge that STL Events and Tours Inc. is not liable for any consequences resulting from excessive alcohol consumption or behavior after the tour. Basically, if I overindulge, I’m on my own, but hey, I’ll try to keep it classy!

 

4. Vintage Vehicle Disclaimer:

The Kombi is a 1966 classic, so don’t expect the perks of a modern ride like airbags, cushy suspension, or air conditioning, kidding she has AC (she’s old, but she’s got character!). By hopping on this tour, I fully accept that the Kombi has a mind of her own and might throw some vintage tantrums. This includes the occasional mechanical hiccup or a bumpy road adventure.

Also, let’s chat about the weather: rain, wind, or even just a little drizzle can make our Kombi ride a bit more adventurous than we planned (but honestly, it just adds to the charm, right?). If the weather decides to have a mood swing, we may need to cancel or adjust the tour plans. Trust me, the Kombi and I are both not fans of getting caught in the rain!

5. Photo & Media Release:
By joining the tour, I give STL Events and Tours the green light to capture my glorious moments in photos and videos, which may include my beautiful face and radiant self enjoying the Kombi vibes. These images might be used for marketing, social media, website content, and promotional materials (and, let's be honest, I’ll probably look great).

If I’d rather not be a star, I’ll let you know in writing before the tour starts, no paparazzi surprise!

6. Marketing & Promotions:
By participating in the tour, I agree that any glowing reviews, funny anecdotes, or rave testimonials I share publicly (whether on social media, email, or online reviews) may be used by STL Events and Tours Inc. for promotional purposes. Don’t worry, though your personal contact info will stay safely in the vault, unless you give us a thumbs up to share it.

Feel free to brag about how awesome the tour was.  We’ll be happy to spread the love!

 

7. Health & Safety Compliance:
By joining the tour, I agree to follow all health and safety protocols in place during the experience because we want everyone to have fun and stay safe! This includes any public health orders or company policies that might be in effect on the day of the tour. So, let’s keep things safe, secure, and (most importantly) stress-free so we can focus on the good stuff like wine and scenic views!

8. Cancellation & Refund Policy:
• Cancellations made 72 hours or more in advance of the tour are eligible for a full refund (we’ll miss you, but we understand).
• Cancellations made within 48 hours or less of the tour are non-refundable (last-minute changes are tough, but we’re still friends!).
• If the weather decides to throw a fit, road conditions are unsafe, or our beloved Kombi has a mechanical issue, we may need to reschedule or cancel the tour. In those cases, you’ll be offered an alternative date or a full refund. No Kombi drama, just good vibes.

9. Insurance & Licensing:
Rest assured, the Kombi and all tour operations are fully licensed and insured, all according to British Columbia laws (we play by the rules, promise!). Our drivers hold valid Class 4 licenses and are trained in the art of safely operating our vintage vehicle because while we love adventure, safety always comes first. So, sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride with peace of mind!

10. Have Fun & Make Memories
Our goal is pretty simple: great wine, good vibes, and memories you’ll want to tell your friends about! So go ahead, laugh like no one’s watching, take all the pictures, soak in the views, and let the Kombi work her magic. It’s all about enjoying the ride and making it unforgettable!

11. Acknowledgment of Legal Waiver
By booking or joining the tour, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to the terms above. If you’re not on board, just let us know, and we’ll part ways before the tour starts. Simple as that!
